What could be more fun than me-made clothes? Without a doubt, personalised clothes! By adding patches, embroideries, prints and so on to your sewing project, you make it extra unique and give it your own personality.
PATCHES
Patches are a very accessible way to personalise your outfit. You can find them in all shapes and colours, themed ones, and they can be iron-on and sew-on ???? Keep it to one or go all out with a combination of different patches to spice up your outfit! Patches can also be used in purely practical ways, for example, hiding rips in the trousers of small kids ????

EMBROIDERY
For those open to a slightly more involved DIY project, embroidering drawings or text is also a fun option! Thanks to the many stitch types and thread colours, there’s space for endless creativity. And the good news: once you have your materials and have mastered the techniques, you can use it all the time!

By the way, did you know that we at Fibre Mood have some ready-made designs and instructions in collaboration with Rose Céladon?
FOILS AND SCREEN PRINTING
Flock foil, flex foil, holographic foil, glitter foil... All possibilities to take your sewing project to the next level. You can do this with foil that you cut yourself or with a machine (e.g. the Cricut or Scan 'n Cut or Silhouette) that do this for you. Then iron it on. Create your own fun drawings and lettering to upgrade your project or explore the sea of possibilities online.

Are you less of a fan of foils? Then you can also explore screen-printing where you work with ink, a screen and a squeegie. Here you will continue to see the texture of your fabric (instead of sticking something on).

TIE-DYE
Tie-dye is all the rage and the results are totally unique. By folding and binding your fabric or garment with elastic or yarn before you dye, you can create all sorts of patterns.

Tip: try shielding your space with protective plastic to avoid having a lot of cleaning work afterwards ????
Can't wait any longer to get started on your DIY project? Then be sure to share the results on our website under the 'Your creations' tab or share them on Instagram with #fibremood. We can't wait to see the results!
