Not only Fibre Mood is celebrating big this month on our fifth anniversary; Parisian fabric brand Atelier Brunette has also put on its party hat and is blowing out no less than 10 candles! Double birthdays call for a double celebration. Atelier Brunette thought so too, as they reached out to several partners to make that 10th birthday extra special. Fibre Mood was also approached for a cool collaboration, and of course, our Creative Director Teresa could not say no to that! ????
"The question was whether Fibre Mood wanted to collaborate on developing a birthday pattern, specifically a jumpsuit. The Atelier Brunette team had already drawn up a short wish list with some requirements in terms of, for example, neckline, waist, and sleeves that the jumpsuit should ideally meet. Working within these specific design parameters was more than enough to give me a lot of fun!", says Teresa.
And so the Addie jumpsuit was born: an elegant jumpsuit with distinctive grown-on sleeves and a playful wrap-around belt to complete the look.
“We gave Addie a lot of interesting touches: wide grown-on sleeves, and ties which seem to start from inside the jumpsuit and create a fun wrap effect. Th unique pleating makes the trousers look almost like a skirt, and we zoomed in on the waist for an ultra-chic look."
How will you be making Addie? There are so many options for this festive jumpsuit. For instance, you can choose to make the sleeves shorter or longer and the same goes for the trouser legs. You can also make the ties wider or narrower according to your preference. In terms of fabric choice, you still fully put your own unique stamp on it. Will you go for a structured fabric for a cool statement look or opt for a supple fabric for a softer look? It's all possible, and we can't wait to admire all your wonderful creations!
