SETS: TROUSERS/SKIRTS WITH SWEATER/TOP
How nice is a completely personalised tracksuit? You can wear the pieces of your suit it in combination as well as separately and this way you have extra enjoyment from your creation. Sanne (@s.a.n.n.e_s.e.w.s) and Majella (@majellavdp) are happy to show you how it's done.
Sanne went for a jogging suit, put together with hacks on the Zinnia top and Pax trousers. How she transformed these beauties into a cool suit? Find out below!
Zinnia was shortened, given a hood (from pattern Frikka from edition 8) and a drawstring hem to tie together. She made Pax two sizes larger to create an extra comfortable fit. The waistband was made as described in the pattern, but did you know you can also make it with ribbing? For that, you can watch the free tutorial in the Fibre Mood Academy.
In turn, Majella opted for a slightly dressier set, but with comfort as her main priority. She made an elegant combination of the Mika jumper and the Juliette dress. You won't recognise much of the original patterns anymore, because she let herself go into hacking them!
For Mika, she added a loose roll neck and shortened the sleeves. For the skirt, she used the Juliette dress. The result is a set that would also allow her to stroll the shopping streets in style.
We also collected these inspiring and wonderfully comfortable creations from Sewistas:
So Majella already proved that even a skirt can be ultra comfy, and so does Rocío (@anibalsden). She went to work with the Ruby pattern and even created 3 variants: a skirt, dress and jumper:
DRESSES AND JUMPSUITS
Nothing is more comfy and easy-going than a dress or jumpsuit in a cosy knitted fabric. No need to search for combination options, just slip it on and you're ready to go. Wear a cute blazer or vest (e.g. Molly or Adria like Céline (@mpchoco)) with it, booties or your favourite sneakers and you're ready to hit the shops or even go to the office!

FABRICS
Which fabrics are best to choose? Think mainly of french terry, jumper fabric, neoprene, interlock and jersey fabrics, for edge finishes it is best to choose a ribbed fabric.
What is important to take into account before starting with stretch fabrics?
- Use a jersey needle, twin needles for hems
- For stretchy seams, you can opt to stitch with your overlock machine, which will retain the stretch of your fabric
- Test the fabric before starting so you can find the right stitch and settings
