Opal is a sewing project that is really done in no time, i.e. the perfect pattern to make dozens of times, dozens of different ways! Think prints, woven fabrics, and even knit fabrics; there are so many options, which means the looks you could go for run the gamut too! Opal's wide legs seem more like a pair of ‘classic’ trousers, that is ... until you pair them with a cardigan, a pair of trainers, and a hat! A true chameleon, these trousers are a guaranteed win for your wardrobe. Looking for some inspiration? We give you four looks that showcase the Opal trousers, directly inspired by you, our Sewist(a)s with your sewing project shares on Instagram under the #fibremoodopal hashtag.
1. With a blouse
We'll start with the look that springs to everyone’s mind – a more classic, elegant, and oh-so-chic look! Pair Opal with a blouse, e.g. the Edith top, which goes perfectly with the Opal trousers! In solids, prints, and every colour of the rainbow – you decide! Whatever you go with, the result is bound to be gorgeous!

2. With a jacket
Is it a bit blustery out? No problem. You might not feel like wearing a jacket, but it won’t spoil your look either. Opal and jackets are a match made in heaven. Is keeping your look classy key? Pair Opal with your favourite blazer. Going for a more laid-back feel? Pair Opal with a denim vest or a cropped leather jacket.

3. Monochrome look
Why not go for a monochrome look, i.e. choose a top in the same colour as your Opal trousers? You've gotta be bold for this one, though ... especially if you’re making your Opal trousers in something vibrant! Opal is the perfect pair of trousers to try monochrome out on. Still not convinced? Check out our Sewist(a)s vibey looks and get inspired!

4. Mix and match
Throw caution to the wind and embrace an outfit mashup. It should be obvious by now – Opal adapts to pretty much every look. For example, you could totally pair Opal in a print with a plain top, but ... you could also switch it up and wear a top with a radically different pattern. Guaranteed on-trend and off the hook!
