All the frills!
I’ve been looking at the statement collars around and the enormous ones are just not for me. However the Honey Blouse in the Fibremood magazine No 12 caught my eye.
It’s a fairly boxy shape with a subtle A-line cut created by the gathers at the back.
The optional frills on the collar and button band brings it bang up to date.
I went all out and opted for the frills to the collar and the button band.
I did however make some changes.
I wanted to wear the Honey now, in the cooler months, so for warmth I needed to length both the body and the arms.
I also couldn’t live with the tie’s to the cuffs which whilst pretty, are not practical for every day life.
So I lengthened the body by 10cm and the sleeve length by the same. I made the size according to my bust size.

Pofmouwen behouden hun opvallende rol in het modebeeld, maar het tijdperk van de statementkragen breekt aan. Top Honey zet deze trend alvast prachtig neer. Een romantische fronsboord omarmt volledig de kraag. Laat je die volant liever weg? Dit pittige boxy bloesje blijft oppercharmant. Zelfs volledig uitgepuurd, met enkel het kraagvoetje als opstaand boordje en een zichtbare knoopsluiting zonder volant. Honey valt mooi in een lichte A-lijn, dankzij de rimpeltjes op de rug. Ook de mouwen kregen onderaan rimpeltjes en zijn sierlijk afgewerkt met een boordje en striklinten.
Voor je begint te knippen: check zeker eerst goed de lengte van de top bij de patroonafmetingen.
Stofadvies
Honey is in veel verschillende stoffen een knappe verschijning, hallelujah! Gebruik bij voorkeur geweven stoffen, omwille van de fijne details. Denk aan popeline, tencel, linnen, crêpe, wollen stofjes, flanel … Dit model leent zich zowel voor effen als voor een motief.
