There’s no need for bells and whistles with this simple (mini) dress. Both sleeves and dress flare towards the hem. The round neckline is finished with bias tape. A button and loop secure the deep back. Sometimes, straightforward is best. Loose, no-nonsense, and easy to wear – who wouldn’t want that?

Fabric advice

Sew Nellie in a soft drape fabric, e.g. crepe (viscose, wool, or polyester), satin (viscose or polyester), or chambray. You could also choose a structured fabric, e.g. a woven jacquard or poplin. For a more festive look, think fabrics with sequins, an aesthetic texture, stripes, or prints with a pop!
