Red jacket with lining
Here I show you what is definitely my favourite make lately! Special about this specific version of Avril is the lining that I've added to the original pattern, the extra inner pocket and the handmade button holes. I've kept the outside minimalistic, leaving away the buttons at the pockets and the chord.
This jacket is not only super functional and a little bit protecting against rain & wind, but also a perfect casual addition to my coat/jacket collection.
The fabric and lining were bought at Trickle Down Fabrics, a gorgeous little fabric shop in Arnhem that sells left-over designer fabrics for smaller prices.
The buttons are from the lovely button collection of Achterpand in Groningen!

XS - XXXL
Een kort casual jasje waar pit in zit. Zeker als jij het draagt. Avril kreeg een opstaande kraag, een blinde knoopsluiting, een bijzondere mouwinzet en polsboorden. De opgestikte zakken met balg – of met een chiquer woord: soufflet – hebben een klep met knopen. Voor een strakke look kan je de knopen op de klep achterwege laten. Dankzij het stroplint kan je het jack laten bloezen.
Liever een wat langere jas? Ook daar leent het patroon van Avril zich prima voor. Je vindt hier hoe je dat gemakkelijk kan doen.
Stofadvies
Voor een prachtige minimal look zet je een effen stof in. Die laat alle details mooi tot hun recht komen. Maar Avril is ook beeldig in bloemen of ruiten. Sowieso zijn geweven stoffen aangewezen voor dit model: twill-katoen, linnen, crêpe of jacquard.
Werk je creatie af met een eigen kledinglabel.
