Style advice for the Rozan top

The Rozan top’s hemline creates a horizontal line across your body. That means choosing the right length is crucial, which also depends on your horizontal proportions (body shape) and vertical proportions (leg length, torso, etc.).

Horizontal proportions

  • If you have wide hips (A-types, X- and 8-types), the top should end just above the widest part (around your hips).
  • If you have narrow hips (I-types, V-types and O-types), then the top can be worn somewhat longer (around your thighs).

Vertical proportions

  • Is your torso long and are your legs short? Don’t make your top too long.
  • Is your torso short and are your legs long? Lengthen the top somewhat to make the torso look longer.

The Rozan top for A-types

The hips are the widest point of your body body with shoulders that are somewhat narrower in comparison.
Your perfect top should highlight the torso and make the shoulders look wider to restore your silhouette’s balance.

The V-neck draws the gaze up and away from your lower body.
Make the version without the large sleeve flounces, as these would attract too much focus on the hips.
Your perfect top should accentuate your waist, which is something the Rozan doesn’t do initially.

When making the Rozan, make sure that the length doesn’t extend to the widest part of your hips/thighs. Go for a light or striking colour in a textured fabric, and pair with a bottom in a darker shade. Colour contrasts are a fantastic way to balance your figure’s proportions.

Complete the look with something special to catch the eye at the top of your silhouette – like the Olga earrings.

The Rozan top for O-types

O-types, don’t spend too much time fiddling with the midriff area; instead, shift the accent to your face, shoulders, wrists, or legs. Rozan is happy to oblige with its V-neck and sleeve flounces.

Make sure the sleeve flounces are in the right place, though, i.e. past the midriff. It goes without saying that you’d like to avoid adding volume there. You could also leave off the sleeve flounces if you feel they’re too much.

Achieve the perfect lengthening effect by making the top and bottom pieces in the same colour. Pair with straight leg or subtly flared trousers or a skirt (e.g. the Bertha, Benita, or Babette trousers or the Betsy skirt) in the same colour. Wear a pair of enchanting earrings, a necklace, or add a bracelet for extra bling.

Select a relatively smooth fabric in a medium to dark shade.

Avoid overly stiff fabrics.

The Rozan top for H-types

H-types have well-balanced proportions between the shoulders and hips. The only thing missing is a waist. They should focus on preserving their naturally balanced proportions, which in this case means concealing your missing waistline.

The Rozan’s V-neck makes your neck and shorter torso look longer, which is great for your body shape.

Make the Rozan top in a fabric with a fluid drape or go for a somewhat stiffer fabric. If you decide to go for a print, then choose a graphic or geometric one.

The Rozan top for I-types

You’ve hardly got any curves and no waist to speak of. The solution? A little more volume and curves, please.
The V-neck, ruffles, and sleeve flounces already take care of adding more curves and interest.
You can amplify that effect by pairing Rozan with flared trousers, such as the Bea, Bertha, Benita or Babette trousers.

Play with colours, prints, and textures. Anything that contributes to making your outfit look more interesting as a whole is a good thingJ!

Make the Rozan top in a fabric with sufficient body, that isn’t too fluid and doesn’t drape lifelessly over your body.

The Rozan top for V-types

As a V-type, your centre of gravity is on your torso. Your shoulders are wider than your hips.

The V-neck makes your torso look less angular. Sew the top in a fabric that isn’t too texture-heavy to avoid adding volume that your upper body doesn’t need.

The top’s cut is perfect for your body shape. The sleeve flounces draw attention to your narrow hips, which is exactly what you’re going for.

Make Rozan in a medium to dark shade with trousers or a skirt in something lighter. Playing with colour contrasts is a fantastic way to even out your figure’s proportions.

The Rozan top for X- and 8-types

You’ve been blessed with a figure in perfect harmony, i.e. your body is naturally well proportioned. Preserving your body’s fabulous natural curves is your objective. Unfortunately, the Rozan top covers up your svelte waist.

The V-neck makes up for quite a bit in leading the eye straight to your waist; however, the cut is too loose for your figure, in general.

The Norma and Paulette, for example, are tops incredibly flattering for your body shape.
