Fully monochrome

The monochrome trend has been around for quite some time but is still going strong. Even in 2019 we are unable to say farewell to it. This trend is neutral and features solid colours, but still lets you stand out prominently. Are you ready to immerse yourself – literally from head to toe – in the monochrome trend?

Trend monochroom

When you hear the word monochrome, the first thing that comes to mind is an entire outfit in one and the same colour. Nothing could be less true. This trend leaves plenty of room to experiment with various shades of the same colour, as well as with textures. How about a knitted yellow jumper paired with a yellow midi skirt? Try the monochrome trend in all colours: from nude to dark shades. Still, this trend is shown off to its best advantage in pastel hues (yes, pastels are still very much in the picture). The monochrome style goes much further than clothing alone. Shoes, sunglasses or a bag in the same colour will complete your outfit.

The tailor-made suit

Monochrome can be incorporated into many different looks: maxi dresses, jumpsuits and of course: tailor-made suits. Nowadays, you will find them in various prêt-à-porter collections, like those of Belgian designer Christian Wijnants. Not only do his vivid colour combinations and prints stand out, full-scale monochrome looks are an equally essential element of this collection. In Scandinavia we also spotted monochrome prints at Samsoe & Samsoe.

Are you itching to get started on a suit of your own? It requires quite a bit of technique, but the result will be one you can really be proud of. Combine the Peaches pants with the Kai blazer in a nude tone, a bright colour or delicate shade of lilac and you will be perfectly dressed for every occasion! In need of more inspiration?
