Digital patterns: download and print

Digital patterns come in PDF format. You can either print your A4 (of US letter) pattern at home, or ask a copyshop to print it in A0 format.

Downloading your pattern

You can find the patterns in your webshop account. Do you need help finding them? Then take a look at the bottom of this page to see how you can find your patterns.

When you open the ZIP file, you will see 6 separate PDF files.

  • A4-US-LETTER: For printing at home on A4 or on US letter paper (use the same file). If you use US letter paper, the edges will be smaller than if you print on A4. This file contains both cutting lines (thick lines) and sewing lines (dashed lines).

  • A4-US-LETTER-ONLY-SA: For printing at home on A4 or US letter paper (use the same file). If you use US letter paper, the edges will be smaller than if you print on A4. This file contains only the cutting line (i.e. including seam allowance).

  • A0: For printing at the copy shop or an A0 printer. This file contains both cutting lines (thick lines) and sewing lines (dashed lines).

  • A0-ONLY-SA:For printing at the copy shop or an A0 printer. This file contains only the cutting line (i.e. including seam allowance).

  • A0 PROJECTOR: An A0 file where all pattern pieces are facing the same direction, convenient for scanning and projecting, with both cutting lines (thick lines) and sewing lines (dashed lines).

  • A0 PROJECTOR-ONLY-SA: This is the A0 file where all the pattern pieces are in the same direction, convenient for scanning and projecting. This file contains only the cutting line (i.e. including seam allowance).

Printing your pattern

Each file contains “layers” to allow you to choose to print only the size(s) that you want, and with or without seam allowances. Watch the video below to see how.

Regardless of which file you are printing, you must leave the "info" box checked. This contains the pattern piece number, grainline, pattern name, size table, test square box.

We recommend that you print your size with both stitching lines and cutting lines. Please refer to the section on choosing the correct size here.

Note! You need to check with your copyshop if they will print A0 files in layers. If they do not print layers, then you may find it easier to choose to print the A0-ONLY-SA file which only contains the cutting lines.
