Susan maar dan anders
Leuk wat je kunt doen met een couponnetje van de Middelburgse markt. Twee lapjes voor 5 euro, en de knopen had ik nog liggen, dus al met al een koopje! Het basispatroon gebruikt van de Susan jurk, maar wel met een heleboel aanpassingen waardoor een soort overhemdjurk is ontstaan, te dragen met en zonder ceintuur.
aanoassingen:
- jurk korter gemaakt en zonder zijsplitten
- geen zakken op de borst gemaakt
- knopen door het beleg heen vastgezet
- idem met manchetten (dat scheelde een boel knoopsgaten maken!)
- manchetten over elkaar geslagen vastgestikt waardoor een extra plooi in de mouw ontstaat

Fabric advice
Use a woven fabric for the Susan dress. Opt for a light to medium-weight fabric with a fluid drape: viscose, for example. You could also use a light-weight cotton, although it will be slightly stiffer, and which will make the drape somewhat less fluid.
Straighter body types can go for stiff fabrics and fabrics with a fluid drape, while fabrics with a fluid drape are most flattering on curvier body shapes.
