DRIES (2017)
The name says it all. DRIES is a personal portrait of the Belgian designer Dries Van Noten, famed in the fashion world now for more than 25 years. Director Reiner Holzemer followed the designer for a whole year on the job (in Paris and Antwerp), but also recorded him in his home, where Van Noten shares his incredible affection for his garden. It should come as no surprise then that art and nature frequently feature in his collections. It’s especially the glimpse of Van Noten's unique fabrics that will instantly give you sewing fever – you'll be itching to start creating.

IRIS (2015)
Put a little more colour in your life after watching this documentary on style icon, Iris Apfel. Despite being 97 years old, Apfel continues to have a significant impact on the fashion world. Go shopping with her in the most exceptional shops on the planet, where she has no trouble finding every eccentric item. The documentary is also recommended for the overwhelming amount of wise words and quotes on fashion and ambition. IRIS, a film directed by Albert Maysles, can now be viewed on Netflix.
The September Issue (2009)
This year the renowned documentary is celebrating its tenth anniversary. For America’s Vogue, the September Issue is the most important one of the year, with hundreds of pages of fashion reports. After ages of persistent trying, director R.J. Cutler finally managed to trail fashion queen Anna Wintour through the production of themost famous international fashion magazine. It’s The Devil Wears Prada, in real life this time. You’ll also get acquainted with prominent figures such as Grace Coddington, André Leon Talley and budding designer at the time, Thakoon Panichgul, in the documentary. The September Issue has also recently been added to the streaming provider Netflix.
