Once upon a time in the West... I made my own trends!

The Western trend has been going on for a while but in 2020 it's even hotter! Read on to find out how you can take the Western look a whole lot further beyond the cowboy boots (which have gradually become a wardrobe essential anyway).

This season, almost every designer has taken a lot of inspiration from the Wild West. Think crocheted tops, suede pants and your cutest dress paired with a leather jacket with fringing ... Also denim - remember the mom jeans? This can be perfect for creating a western look. The possibilities are endless and this trend allows you to play out your own creativity.

As well as cowboy boots, there are a lot of different items you can use to get the look. Fringing is a great example! You can add fringing to almost every garment: trousers, handbags, sweaters and jackets. Fringing is such an eye-catcher though that it’s easy to overdo it (unless you want to be in a movie...?).

Tip: Keep your look balanced by choosing a statement piece like a fringed jacket. Continue the style in combination with cowboy boots, but keep the rest of your outfit muted.

Create your own Wild Western Wardrobe

If there’s one Fibre Mood dress that is all about Western vibes, it’s the Ivory. Ivory has a slightly flared skirt and gathered sleeves over a roomy buttoned wrist cuff. The design is nothing if spirited, with lovely accents that are a clear nod to the Wild West. There's a collar with large points, characteristic details on the front and back yokes, and a belt. Pair this dress with cowboy boots and a cool handbag for a modern yet trendy look.

You could also create a Wstern look with the Mira dress or the Hope dress. Do you like a touch of dreaminess just like us? How about a beige, charming Mira or Hope combined with a cropped cowboy jacket with fringes on the sleeves? For a more statement look, go a step further with knee high leather boots. You can also style the Charlotte dress this way.

Or, how about being your own Darling Clementine with the Hettie skirt? Try styling this graceful skirt in combination with a denim jacket & bright boots!

For the daredevils among us: get out of your comfort zone with the Arlette skirt. This trendy skirt with ruffles is perfect with an eye-catching floral print. Finish off the look with an oversized sweater and sturdy boots.

And finally ... last but not least, take a look at our Pola dress. The ruffles, up to just above the ankles, create an floaty effect. And our Victoria top is ideal for those who prefer jeans. Balance the romantic style of this top by wearing it with simple boyfriend jeans and a chunky belt (and a cowboy hat?).

Time to get going on that sewing machine!
